No. Patch checks what's on your device against known breaches, but your passwords and credentials never leave your computer and never sit on our servers. It's a flashlight, not a safe.

What happens if Patch finds my email in a breach?

Does a breach mean I was hacked?

Not necessarily. A breach usually means a company you have an account with was hacked and your info was part of what leaked. It's a signal to act — change the password, lock things down — not proof someone's in your account right now. Patch helps you tell the difference and do the right thing.

Both. One subscription covers Patch on your Mac and your iPhone, kept in sync. The Mac app needs an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later).

Do I need to create an account?

No. Download Patch and start using it — nothing to sign up for, no password to remember, no email to hand over. If you subscribe, it unlocks on your Mac and iPhone automatically through your Apple ID. Family plans add a quick Apple sign-in so Patch knows who's covered — still no Patch account, still no password. Patch has no user database, which is part of why there's nothing to steal.
